Gerard E. Boutin, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Boutin brings 45+ years of experience and he specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adults. Dr. Boutin earned his Doctorate from The Ohio State University in 1976 specializing in Neuropsychology and Psychology. Dr. Boutin was trained by Dr. Albert Ellis the original pioneer of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Boutin evaluates and treats the following conditions: pain management, neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, attention deficit disorders, learning disabilities, Artistic Spectrum Disorders, depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, anger management, and child behavioral disorders. He provides neuropsychological valuations for adults and children.

He previously worked as a Family Mediator in the state of Florida. Dr. Boutin has completed numerous Child Custody/Relocation Evaluations and has served as a court appointed Parent Facilitator.

Dr. Boutin has been a guest speaker at local hospitals, schools, and for public groups. He has been an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University and at St. Petersburg College. Dr. Boutin was an Associate Clinical Professor for The University of Health Science, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He serves as a contributor and the corporate judge for the Deadman Undergraduate Research Foundation each year at The Ohio State University. He previously has written a weekly column for the Seminole Beacon from 1986 until 1995.

Dr. Boutin is a member of the Counsel for the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, National Academy of Neuropsychologists. He also is a member of the Board of Directors for the Catholic Education Foundation and SAGE, a self-defense program for women.

Richard Cottrell DO, Psychiatrist

Dr. Cottrell is a Florida native, a husband and proud father of 2. He was born at Mountain Park Hospital 9 now Bayfront Medical Center) and raised in Pinellas County. He attended local schools and graduated from Dixie Hollins High School.

He has an Associates in Arts degree from St. Petersburg junior college, which was followed by a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida. He graduated from medical school at Southeastern College of osteopathic Medicine with the degree of Dr. of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at the University Gen. Hospital in Seminole, Florida, followed by residency in psychiatry at the diversity of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Dr. Cottrell is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and psychiatry.

He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Neurologist and Psychiatrist, Greater Tampa Bay Psychiatric Society and the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society.

He is a past president of the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society and the recipient of the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Societies 2011 Physician of the Year Award.

Dr. Cottrell is a private pilot and PADI certified scuba diver enjoys flying, diving, boating and sailing. He enjoys time with his family and traveling.
